All IT practitioners across Northwestern with an interest in cloud computing are invited to join the Cloud Community of Practice. Staff members currently working with cloud resources or responsible for workloads in the public cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) are especially welcome to share their experiences, questions, and challenges with the group.
The primary channel for this community is the Teams space: CoP – Cloud. Membership is open to anyone with a Northwestern NetID. Community members without a NetID wishing to participate (e.g. Northwestern Memorial Hospital staff) can request an invitation by emailing m-rich@northwestern.edu.
Roundtables
The Cloud Community of Practice holds bimonthly roundtable meetings, generally on Friday mornings, to discuss and share our cloud success stories and challenges. Each meeting generally consists of 1-3 short presentations and a period for open discussion, and both in-person and remote attendance options are available. Meeting details are announced in the CoP – Cloud team.
Working Groups
The Cloud Community of Practice includes several working groups focusing on different aspects of Northwestern’s use of the public cloud. The work of all of these groups is coordinated within the CoP – Cloud team. To participate, just join the group’s channel in Teams.
